Who can take part

  • Your main problem is tinnitus (you hear ringing/tones without any external sound source)
  • Your tinnitus has lasted 6 months or longer, and it is a steady tone (not random noise)
  • You are between 18 and 60 years old
  • The trial team must be able to test your hearing so that you do not have very poor hearing at the tested sound ranges
  • You should not have certain ear or brain conditions, past ear surgery, or tinnitus caused by specific diseases (like Meniere disease)
  • You should not have head injury history, problems in the brain/central nervous system, significant mental illness, or drug abuse history
