Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and able to sign consent
  • A doctor must confirm your cancer diagnosis and show tumors have spread (bone or non-bone metastases)
  • Your pain must be at least moderate (pain score 3 or higher)
  • Your expected life span must be about 6 months or more
  • Your health/activity level must be significantly limited (ECOG performance status 3 or higher)
  • You must be willing and able to follow the study plan, including any birth-control rules if applicable
