Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation.
- You have had a procedure called left atrial appendage occlusion or a clip on the left atrial appendage (a small pouch in the heart) to reduce stroke risk.
- Your risk of stroke, measured by a score called CHADSVASC, is 2 or higher.
- You do not have a mechanical heart valve (an artificial valve made of metal or other man-made materials).
- You have not had a tissue (biological) mitral or aortic valve replacement due to rheumatic heart disease.
