Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have symptomatic severe mitral valve leakage (either “secondary” from heart strain or “degenerative/primary” from the valve itself)
- You are already on the best standard care (medicines and other needed treatments) before enrollment
- Your heart test results fit specific limits for heart size and pumping strength (for secondary cases) or valve shape measurements (for primary cases)
- You are not too sick right now (not hemodynamically unstable, and not NYHA class IV)
- You do not have key exclusions like severe right-heart failure, very high irreversible lung pressure, severe tricuspid leakage, active infection, or very limited life expectancy
