Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have moderate-to-severe or severe mitral valve leakage (called mitral regurgitation).
- Surgery to fix the valve is not safe for you, or you have chosen not to have surgery.
- Your heart’s pumping ability (ejection fraction) is between 20% and 50% and your left ventricle is not too enlarged.
- You do not have other serious heart conditions or active infections.
