Who can take part

  • You have temporal lobe epilepsy that does not respond to anti-seizure medicines (“drug-resistant”).
  • Your epilepsy is due to typical causes, not due to a past stroke.
  • Your epilepsy is not caused by areas of the brain with poor blood flow (ischemia).
  • Your epilepsy is not caused by a cavernous blood vessel growth (cavernous angioma).
  • Your epilepsy is not caused by a brain tumor growing in the area (meningioma growth).
