Who can take part

  • You have epilepsy that does not improve with medication (often called 'intractable' or 'drug-resistant' epilepsy).
  • Your doctor has recommended brain surgery to remove the part of the brain where your seizures start.
  • You can understand and agree to the study procedures (informed consent).
  • You do not have any permanent electronic implant (like a pacemaker or brain stimulator).
  • You do not have other medical conditions that would make electrode placement unsafe.
