Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older and post-menopausal
- Have biopsy-proven invasive breast cancer that is hormone receptor positive (ER and/or PR) and HER2 negative
- Have stage I–III breast cancer with a tumor at least 5 mm on imaging
- Have tumor Ki-67 level of 10% or higher (a lab marker of how fast cells are growing)
- Be well enough to do usual activities (ECOG performance status 0–2) and agree to frequent visits and study tests
- You must not have had chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or hormone (endocrine) treatment within the last 3 months, and you must not have used a statin or similar cholesterol drugs (statins, fibrates, or ezetimibe) within the last 3 months
