Who can take part
- Be 19 years or older
- Have a chest CT that suggests lung cancer
- Have an EGFR mutation found in lung fluid (BALF): E19Del or L858R (or certain other rare EGFR changes)
- Plan to have surgery that can remove all of the tumor (early to locally advanced; certain limited spread is allowed)
- Have not taken EGFR-targeted pills before (like gefitinib, erlotinib, afatinib, or dacomitinib)
- Have good enough heart/lung health and basic lab results for surgery (for example, adequate blood counts and liver/kidney tests)
