Who can take part
- You have adenocarcinoma of the small intestine or appendix confirmed by biopsy or tumor cell test
- Your cancer has spread (metastatic) and you have had at least one previous treatment that stopped working
- Your cancer is growing during or shortly after standard treatment (or you had to stop due to side effects and can’t go back to the same drug)
- Your cancer has measurable signs on scans or tests, and your overall strength is about “1” on a common performance scale
- You have at least 3 months to live as estimated by your doctor, and bloodwork shows your kidneys, liver, and bone marrow can handle treatment
- You have not taken surufatinib before, and you have not had certain immune “checkpoint” antibodies before
