  • Be age 21 or older
  • Have sudden hearing loss that started within the past 3 days
  • Your hearing test should show a drop of 30 dB or more at three nearby sound frequencies
  • You must have been seen at the hospital’s ear/nose/throat (ENT) clinic and told you have sudden hearing loss
  • You must read about the study and agree to sign a consent form
