Who can take part

  • You have pre-diabetes based on specific blood sugar test results
  • Your vitamin D blood level (25-hydroxy vitamin D) is below 30 ng/dl
  • You are between 20 and 60 years old
  • You have not taken vitamin D or calcium supplements in the last 6 months
  • You have not used medicines in the last month that can affect blood sugar, vitamin D, or calcium (your doctor would review this)
  • You don’t have serious organ damage, cancer, malabsorption, or certain hormone/bone immune conditions (like hyperparathyroidism or sarcoidosis)
