Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 years or older).
  • Your cardiac arrest happened outside the hospital, was witnessed, and was not caused by trauma.
  • The heart rhythm at the start of arrest was “shockable,” not pulseless electrical activity or asystole.
  • You were unconscious after CPR successfully restarted blood flow (ROSC).
  • CPR time was 40 minutes or less, and argon treatment would start within 4 hours after ROSC.
  • Your oxygen level is stable (SaO2 at least 94%) while receiving 30% oxygen (FiO2 30%).
