- You are 18 or older.
- Your cardiac arrest is thought to be from a heart problem (not an injury or breathing issue).
- You were treated by paramedics.
- You do not have a 'Do Not Resuscitate' order.
- You are not pregnant or in prison.
- Your cardiac arrest was not caused by drowning, hanging, suffocation, or opioid overdose.
