Who can take part

  • You have GIST confirmed by lab testing (on tissue or cells).
  • Your tumor has a KIT mutation or PDGFRA mutation, but not the PDGFRA D842V type.
  • You are either already taking imatinib that started within the last 3 months or will start it within the next month.
  • You’re age 18 or older, and your day-to-day functioning is good (ECOG 0–1).
  • Your major organs are working well enough for treatment (routine blood/organ tests are normal).
  • You are not taking warfarin, and you are not on certain medicines that strongly affect imatinib levels (CYP3A/CYP3A4/related drugs).
