Who can take part

  • You are an adult age 18 or older and can sign consent to join and be followed
  • You already tried imatinib or avatinib first, and it stopped working or you couldn’t tolerate it
  • You can have GIST tumor/genetic testing (blood and tumor tissue sample if available)
  • Your health status is fairly good (ECOG score 0–1) and you’re expected to live at least 12 weeks
  • You have not taken other targeted “molecular” GIST drugs besides imatinib/avatinib
  • Side effects from prior treatment have improved to mild level or better
