Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You have confirmed cirrhosis (diagnosed on scan or liver biopsy)
  • Your portal pressure is at least 10 mmHg
  • You agree to take part by signing informed consent
  • You have not taken non-selective beta-blockers or statins in the past month
  • You do not have recent serious complications (like bleeding, major confusion, or major belly fluid buildup) in the past week
