Who can take part
- You’re at least 18 years old (any sex).
- Doctors have decided you need a clot-removal procedure (thrombectomy) for an acute stroke.
- Your stroke affects the back part of the brain (posterior circulation) due to blockage of the vertebral and/or basilar artery.
- Your stroke severity score (NIHSS) is 4 or higher.
- You (or your legal representative) can give consent within 72 hours of the procedure.
