  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a severe stroke (NIHSS score of 10 or more) affecting the back of the brain.
  • Your stroke started within the last 24 hours.
  • A brain scan shows the main artery at the back of the brain is blocked, and the damage is moderate in size.
  • You are willing to follow the study plan and give consent.
