  • You’re between 50 and 85 years old.
  • You have lumbar spinal stenosis symptoms that fit “pseudoclaudication,” with lower-leg pain rated at least 3 out of 10.
  • Your MRI shows spinal stenosis in 1 to 3 lower-back levels, with narrowing within the trial’s specific limits.
  • You can give informed consent (agree in writing to join the study).
  • You have not had prior back surgery (except treatment for a disc hernia).
