Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are currently on a breathing machine through an endotracheal tube (a tube in your windpipe)
- You received a medicine that temporarily relaxes your muscles (a neuromuscular blocker) for intubation or after intubation
- Your healthcare team must be able to check your brain activity/assessment while you’re in the study
- You must not have died before the breathing tube is removed
