After-surgery targeted pill to prevent relapse in EGFR lung cancer

Who can take part

  • Be 18 to under 80 years old, and provide written consent
  • Have had complete surgery for stage IB to IIIB non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with no cancer left at the margins (R0 resection)
  • Your tumor must have specific EGFR mutations (exon 19 deletion, L858R in exon 21, or L861Q, or G719X)
  • Be well enough for treatment (doctor rates you as ECOG 0–1) and expect to live at least 12 weeks
  • Have blood, liver, and kidney lab results high enough for medication safety
  • Women must not be pregnant or breastfeeding
