This trial tests if a targeted therapy pill (befotertinib) can lower the chance of cancer coming back after surgery for non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific EGFR mutation. You may be eligible if your tumor was completely removed and you have stage IB to IIIB disease.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (mainly a type called adenocarcinoma) that has a common EGFR mutation (exon 19 deletion or L858R).
  • Your cancer was stage IB, II, IIIA, or IIIB (T3N2M0) and was completely removed by surgery, with no cancer cells left at the edges.
  • You are at least 18 years old, and your surgery was 4 to 10 weeks ago with full wound healing.
  • You have not had brain metastases and you do not have any other active cancer or serious heart or lung conditions.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control during the study and for 3 months after treatment ends.
