Who can take part
- Baby was born between 22 and 28 weeks of pregnancy
- Birth weight is at least 700 grams
- Baby is in a NICU study unit and is on a breathing machine when enrolled
- An ultrasound (echocardiogram) shows a leak pattern that meets a PDA score of 6 or higher
- Randomization happens within 5 days after the qualifying ultrasound, and the baby is 7 to 32 days old at enrollment
