Who can take part

  • Your baby must be born before 32 weeks of pregnancy.
  • You (parent or guardian) must be able to talk with the study team and sign a consent form.
  • Your baby cannot have severe heart defects other than PDA, such as certain types of tetralogy of Fallot or coarctation of the aorta.
  • Your baby cannot have major birth defects, chromosome problems, or serious brain issues.
  • Your baby cannot have severe infection, bleeding problems, or organ failure.
  • Your baby cannot have had other treatments for PDA before joining this study.
