Who can take part
- You have lung cancer confirmed by biopsy or a sample test, and it is considered locally advanced (NSCLC, stage LA).
- Your doctors say you are not a candidate for the standard definitive chemo-radiotherapy (the usual combined chemotherapy and full course radiation).
- Your general health/function is good enough for study visits (performance status 0 to 2).
- You can sign consent and attend scheduled study visits and follow-up tests.
- You should not have had prior radiation to the chest, unless the new treatment area does not overlap the old radiation field.
- You are not pregnant. Also, any other cancer you have must be controlled (not “uncontrolled”).
