Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older when you sign consent.
  • You have AML, either from starting in the blood/bone marrow (primary) or AML related to MDS.
  • Your AML is resistant to treatment or has relapsed after your first-line AML therapy (even if you had a stem cell transplant).
  • Your test results must show the FLT3 mutation—specifically FLT3-ITD—on a central lab blood or bone marrow sample.
  • Your day-to-day function must be fairly good (ECOG score 0–2).
  • Your doctor must think you can safely receive the planned rescue/salvage chemotherapy.
