Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have been newly diagnosed with AML and have a specific genetic change called FLT3-ITD.
  • You are healthy enough to receive standard strong chemotherapy (your doctor will check this).
  • Your white blood cell count is not too high (if it is, you can be treated first to lower it).
  • Your liver and kidney function are adequate based on blood tests.
  • You have not had any prior AML treatment (except emergency measures to lower white blood cells) or prior treatment with a FLT3 inhibitor.
