Who can take part

  • Be age 20 to 55 and able to give informed consent
  • Have moderate depression symptoms (Hamilton depression score 17 to under 24)
  • Take antidepressants that stay the same for at least 6 weeks (or no antidepressants yet)
  • Live in or near UCLA (within 1 hour driving) and work at UCLA
  • Not be pregnant, and speak English well enough for questionnaires
  • Be able to safely do tDCS and MRI (no contraindications like certain metal implants)
