Who can take part
- Be between 5 and 12 years old (study 2 is specifically 5–9 years old)
- Have a visual impairment diagnosis, or otherwise normal vision for the comparison group
- Have verbal (spoken) IQ above 70
- For visual field: have a central visual field of at least 30 degrees
- Do not have autism, ADHD, or other major psychiatric problems (per the trial’s screening)
- Have not done any vision training in the past 2 years
