Who can take part
- Be able to understand the study and sign consent (and privacy forms) for your medical information
- Be 18 or older and able to attend all clinic visits (travel to the center as needed)
- If you can become pregnant: you must have a negative pregnancy test and use effective birth control; you must not breastfeed
- If you are male and have not had a vasectomy: use condoms during sex and have your partner use extra effective birth control, or agree to abstain during the study
- Have ALS confirmed (or be without an ALS diagnosis) and meet breathing limits (vital capacity at least 50% of expected)
