Who can take part
- You must be able to understand the study and sign the consent and privacy forms.
- Age rules depend on the group: ALS (18–80), AD (40–80), MS (18–70), PD (55–80), or healthy volunteer.
- You must meet pregnancy-prevention rules: no pregnancy/breastfeeding, negative pregnancy test if you can become pregnant, and reliable contraception/abstinence during the study and afterward.
- Kidney and inflammation lab checks must be acceptable (eGFR >45; C-reactive protein ≤10 mg/dL).
- You must be able to lie still for scans (PET/CT or PET/MRI) for up to 90 minutes; MRI/PET cannot be done if you have incompatible metal devices or MRI-limiting health findings.
- You must not have certain recent meds or substances (for example: certain steroids or NSAIDs in the past month or drug/alcohol issues in the past 2 years), and you must avoid other investigational drugs recently.
