Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • You must fit into either the drinking group or the lower-drinking/healthy volunteer group
  • Be able to safely complete an up to 1-hour MRI scan (no unsafe metal, and you can tolerate being in the scanner)
  • Not have safety risks for TMS or seizure problems (no seizure history and no epilepsy in close family)
  • Not have implanted devices in/near your head that would make TMS unsafe
