Who can take part

  • You can sign consent, follow study instructions, and stay available for the whole study
  • Your body weight is in the overweight/obese range (BMI 25 to 40)
  • You have confirmed obstructive sleep apnea (sleep test shows AHI or REI 15+ per hour)
  • You are not using sleep-inducing medicines like benzodiazepines or opioid pain medicines
  • You are able to have MRI scans (not too claustrophobic and no metal implants that block MRI)
