CPAP and how blood sugar changes in people without diabetes

This trial studies whether using CPAP for sleep apnea changes how your body handles blood sugar in adults who do not have diabetes. You may be asked to sleep with CPAP and wear a continuous glucose monitor for testing.

Who can take part

  • You are 18–65 years old, and you live in the community
  • Your sleep study shows moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (AHI 15+ per hour) within the last 60 months
  • You are able to sign consent and read/speak English well enough for the study
  • Your recent blood sugar tests show you do not have diabetes (for example, fasting glucose <7.0 mmol/L, or certain OGTT or HbA1c results)
  • You can use a mobile phone to download and run the Withings Sleep Analyzer app
  • You can get to the study and follow the testing schedule (including glucose monitoring)
