Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have a severe open tibia fracture that needs more than one deep cleaning (irrigation and debridement).
- Your fracture treatment will include fixing the bone with hardware (internal or external fixation).
- You had formal surgical debridement (wound cleaning) within 72 hours of the injury.
- All planned fracture surgeries will be done by a participating surgeon or their team.
- A study team member can get your informed consent.
