- You (or your legal guardian) can sign an informed consent form
- Your SCLC is newly diagnosed (confirmed by biopsy or a related test)
- Your scans show measurable spots the doctors can track on CT
- Your care team plans to treat you with standard chemotherapy: carboplatin plus etoposide
- You have not had cancer treatment before, except for certain minor skin/cervical cases
- You are not taking blood thinners, except aspirin and/or clopidogrel
