CELZ-201 to preserve insulin production in early type 1 diabetes

You may be eligible if your diabetes started within the past year and your tests show you still have some insulin-making activity.

Who can take part

  • You can understand the study and sign consent
  • You are 18 to 35 years old
  • Your type 1 diabetes diagnosis is within the last 1 year, and testing shows you still make some insulin (C-peptide peak over 0.6)
  • You have type 1 diabetes confirmed by at least two diabetes-related immune tests (GAD65, IA-2, or ZnT8)
  • Your kidney function is strong enough (eGFR over 80)
  • If you can become pregnant (or have a pregnancy-capable partner), you agree to use two reliable birth control methods for about 2 years
