Who can take part

  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 40 or less
  • Your weight has stayed fairly stable in the last 6 months (within 5% change)
  • You do not have certain major long-term illnesses (heart, brain/nervous system, kidney, liver, or uncontrolled diabetes)
  • Your blood pressure is not “stage 2 uncontrolled” (over 140/90 unless controlled with meds)
  • You do not have obstructive sleep apnea or prior bariatric (weight-loss) surgery
  • You are not using nicotine (including vaping/cigarettes) regularly, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding
