Who can take part
- You are either a fetus thought to have a heart problem or a newborn (less than 22 days old).
- Newborns may have a confirmed or suspected serious heart condition, or be symptom-free and getting routine oxygen screening.
- Your baby must not have had an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) already if they are symptom-free and getting oxygen screening.
- If your baby has a confirmed or suspected heart condition, they cannot have only a duct or small hole without other defects.
- Your baby must not have had heart surgery or a catheter procedure already.
- Your baby cannot be on heart medications except for prostaglandin therapy.
