Device test to lower blood DNA and NETs in sepsis

Who can take part

  • You are age 18 to 75
  • You have proven or suspected lung-related sepsis and are on a breathing machine
  • You have been on invasive mechanical ventilation for 48 hours or less
  • Your lung oxygen test is very low (PaO2/FiO2 ≤ 200 mmHg, or ≤ 26.6 kPa)
  • Your organ stress score (SOFA) is between 4 and 14
  • A doctor (or legal decision-maker) can give consent for the study
