Who can take part

  • Be an adult age 18 or older
  • Have an elective (planned) first-time hip replacement or knee replacement at a UPMC hospital
  • Have moderate anxiety and/or depression symptoms on a standard questionnaire (PROMIS T-score 60 or higher)
  • Have access to a smart phone or tablet to use the program
  • Not have severe mood symptoms that need immediate crisis help (PROMIS depression T-score over 70 or anxiety/depression T-score over 70)
