Who can take part

  • You were referred to TkNN (Dental Care Competence Center for Northern Norway) for peri-implantitis treatment
  • You have at least one dental implant diagnosed with peri-implantitis (based on 2017 Chicago criteria)
  • You do not have a fixed/cemented dental restoration on the affected implant
  • You smoke no more than 10 cigarettes per day
  • You do not have diabetes that is poorly controlled (blood sugar control must be acceptable)
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the past 3 months
