Test a new pill plus abemaciclib versus standard therapy

Metastatic Breast Cancer

Who can take part

  • You have ER-positive and HER2-negative breast cancer confirmed by a lab test
  • Your cancer has spread or is locally advanced, and it showed progression while on an aromatase inhibitor (AI)
  • Your tumor is confirmed to have an ESR1 mutation (from a blood liquid test or from tumor tissue)
  • Your cancer has not progressed for at least 6 months on an AI plus a CDK4/6 medicine (palbociclib or ribociclib)
  • You can take tablets and are well enough for treatment (ECOG 0–1), with blood and organ counts that meet study limits
  • If you have brain metastases, they must be treated, not causing symptoms, not needing steroids, and stable for over 3 months
