Who can take part
- You have deep pockets (6 mm or more) around a dental implant with bleeding or pus, and at least 3 mm of bone loss seen on x-ray.
- The bone defect around the implant must be a certain shape (combined vertical and horizontal loss) with at least a 3 mm deep bony gap.
- You have at least 2 mm of firm, attached gum tissue on the cheek side of the implant.
- Your implant is placed correctly within the jawbone, not tilted or positioned too far forward or backward.
- The implant's crown or bridge allows you to clean around it well and lets the dentist measure gum pocket depth.
