Who can take part
- Your ECG or Holter monitor shows a regular fast heartbeat with narrow QRS complexes
- Doctors can show, during the procedure, that you have AVNRT (an AV node re-entrant tachycardia) using pacing maneuvers
- You are expected to live at least 12 months (not a terminal or very severe condition)
- Your groin vein access is possible (no deep vein clot blocking the femoral vein)
- You do not have clots inside the heart
- Your pelvic/large vein anatomy is suitable for catheter access (no major vessel shape problems)
