Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and able to sign consent.
  • Your cancer must be colon or upper rectum (operable) and confirmed as BRAF V600E-mutated from a biopsy.
  • Your imaging (CT scan) must show a higher-risk stage: rT3 with at least 5 mm spread outside the bowel wall, or rT4 (spread into a nearby organ).
  • Your tumor tissue (or DNA from the tumor) must be enough for central lab testing of BRAF and RAS.
  • Your heart rhythm, blood counts, kidney function, and liver blood tests must be within allowed ranges.
  • You must not have cancer that has spread to distant sites (M1).
