  • Between 18 and 60 years old
  • Currently hospitalized with a moderate to severe head injury (not from penetrating wounds like gunshots or stabbings)
  • Currently on a breathing machine (ventilator) and receiving sedation medications
  • Have health insurance or social security coverage
  • Your family or legal representative has been informed and signed a consent form
