Who can take part
- You are 18 or older and have confirmed renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) from a biopsy done during screening.
- Your imaging shows the tumor can be surgically removed (stage cT2 to cT4), and if lymph nodes are involved, the surgeon says it’s still resectable.
- Your general health is good enough for treatment (ECOG 0 to 1).
- Your blood pressure is controlled (about 150/90 or less) and stays stable for about 1 week before starting.
- Your heart and other organ tests are adequate, including no major heart problems and acceptable heart pumping strength.
- You have not had certain prior treatments and you do not have key medical conditions that increase risk (for example, metastatic disease, serious lung inflammation, or active infections).
