Who can take part

  • You’re 18 to 80 years old and can sign the consent form
  • Your kidney cancer is clear cell kidney cancer (or mostly clear cell) on biopsy
  • Your scan/staging shows tumor stage T2 with certain features, or T3–T4 with lymph node involvement (N1)
  • You feel mostly able to carry on daily activities (ECOG 0 or 1)
  • Your heart, liver, and kidney tests are strong enough (including kidney filtration, GFR at least 45)
  • The cancer has not spread to distant organs (no distant metastasis)
